Postdoctoral Scholars: We are recruiting for postdoctoral positions in the general field of experimental nanoscale heat transfer. Previous experience with transmission electron microscopy, thin film deposition, and/or electrothermal measurements is desirable but not required. All interested candidates are encouraged to email Prof. Wehmeyer.
Graduate Students: We are looking for motivated Ph.D. students with backgrounds in engineering, materials science, or applied physics to join the team! During their time in the Nanoscale Heat Transfer Lab, students will become experts in topics such as thermal metrology, microfabrication, electron microscopy, sub-continuum thermal modeling, and thermal transport simulations. Please apply through Rice’s graduate program and mention Prof. Wehmeyer in your application. Eligible potential students are also highly encouraged to apply for prestigious external fellowships such as the NSF GRFP and the NDSEG.
Undergraduate Students: Motivated Rice undergraduates in engineering or physics are encouraged to email Prof. Wehmeyer. Please include your resume with a list of relevant experience (coursework, research, clubs, or internships), and a brief description of what you hope to gain from performing undergraduate research.
